I just went out for a coffee and on my way back I was stuck with a dilemma of sorts. There about 200 feet ahead of me is my boss. She is talking to someone and I don't want to interrupt. The problem is I am rapidly gaining on them even when I try to walk slowly. If I pass them I have to stop and acknowledge them, something I don't really want to do. Another option is to breeze on by, but that is too risky and could have some repercussions. So I did the only thing I could. I went and bought candy to stall. It did the trick and came with a bonus.
