On my way home from yet another exciting A.I. class I was stopped by the local news channel for one of those community questions. Apparently, I have an aversion to being on televsion so I said sorry but I wasn't interested. The question is why don't I want to be on TV to give my opinion on something. I do it all the time on this site. What makes the confines of the www any different than that of the local television station?

Here I can edit things as many times as I want. I can wait until every sentence conveys the thought I had in mind. Nothing more and nothing less. Here I am in control of what the end product is. Yes it is edited. I never say the whole truth. That would get me into trouble.

Television on the other hand I inherently don't trust. Those sneaky bastards will edit it in a way that makes you look like the biggest fool. There are examples of this all the time just look at shows like survivor. Entertaining to watch, but what truth is actually left after it has been edited? The viewer only gets access to such a small sliver of information that they can never really ever understand the whole situation.
